Naturally Reared and Bred to the Standard
In the Fall of 2005, I became aware of a litter in Tennessee whose breeding fit perfectly with my philosophy of combining excellent conformation with working ability and sound temperament.
On a trip made to see the pups, I had the opportunity to observe the litter during temperament testing. When RivR's turn came, she stopped in the middle of an exercise to go herd some chickens which had wandered into the area. Upon completing her mission of putting the chickens away, she returned to her original task. It was settled at that point. RivR was the ONE.!!!
.

Our beautiful and fun-loving RivR has been adopted by a family who has owned Bouviers for 30 yearrs, and has been blessed to have at least one Crestwood Bouvier for almost 20 of those years. She is one of two beloved housedogs (both Bouviers, of course). Her new family believes in keeping this girl active, taking her to obedience, agility and tracking classes. RivR often volunteers to take the role of teacher rather than that of student and hopes one day to have a class of her own! They are well-prepared to channel the energy and intelligence of this wonderful girl.
As a breeder, this was one of the most difficult decisions I have made, but one that has been positive for RivR and her new family. I feel blessed to have them as her protector and my friends.
Major win under Judge Clay Coady
RivR loves everything about dog showing
Rivr wrapped in Lou's loving arms. Oh the memories of those two clowns.
